New Testament Wycliffe Edition
Description
This book contains a facsimile of a Bible translated by John Wycliffe (1330-1384). Dissatisfied with the corruption of the Catholic Church, including the lack of access to the Bible by the common people, Wycliffe (sometimes spelled Wyclif) translated the Bible from Latin into the common language in 1382, just years before his death.

Wycliffe was extremely involved in English society: he held leadership roles in the Church and was often present in Parliament. An avid student and learner, Wycliffe used his studies to question corrupt authority and risk his livelihood and welfare so that others may enjoy God's word.

This facsimile portrays some of the best of 14th century calligraphy and illumination with a clear black script decorated with a multitude of colors at various points in the text.
