Description
This book contains the prayers and liturgical poems associated with the holidays of Rosh ha-Shanah ("Head of the Year") and Yom Kippur ("Day of Atonement"), the holidays associated with the Jewish New Year. The prayers are printed in Hebrew and German texts.

Rosh Hashanah consists of a period of ten days of repentance where Jews reflect on the past year and make plans to repent and come closer to God in the next. Yom Kippur, the final day of Rosh Hashana, commemorates when the children of Israel were redeemed by the blood of the covenant at the foot of Mt. Sinai.

The book boasts an impressive covering made mostly of ivory with various metal and fabric inlays. It is read from right to left to as appropriate to Hebrew.
