Description
This book contains some of the works of two of the most prominent early Christian apologists and theologians, Tertullian and Arnobius. Both men were raised pagan in Roman-ruled North Africa around between the 2nd-4th cent. A.D. and converted to Christianity later in life.

Tertullian has had a longer-lasting effect upon Western Christianity, as he initiated the use of "ecclesiastical Latin" and discussed Trinitarian doctrines before the Council of Nicaea (Wilken). Arnobius focused primarily on "demonstrating to the pagans their own inconsistencies" (The Editors).
