Description
Die Heilige Schrift, German for "The Holy Scriptures," was printed by John ("Johann" in the text) E. Potter and Company in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S.A. It contains impressive accompanying illustrations throughout the manuscript, some of which were drawn by Gustave Doré and printed by Potter. Doré is most famous for his illustrations of Dante's Divine Comedy.
