Mr And Mrs J. C. Neibaur

Dear father and mother

I ricieved your most

 welcome letter in Boise

a few days ago. Was glad

 to hear from you and

also to get the dollar bill

you sent me it sure did

come in handy for I was

out of money and I needed

quite a few little things

quite badly such as towel

  handkerchiefs and the

  like.

No doubt you will be

surprised at the date

and postmark of this

letter but I wrote you

a card before I left Boise and I

thought we were going to Portland

at the time.

We left Boise about 9:30 P.M. on

  Saturday and arrived in

  Spokane about 6:30 A.M. Monday

   we had a pleasant journey

   stopped at La Grande and

    pendleton Oregon and at Walla

    Walla Washington. We all rode

in Pullmans all the way so you

see it would not be so bad

but still we got pretty tired.

We are settled at last and

are in one fine place I tell

you there is above three hund-

red of us in one building at

that is some crowd I tell you

           we have every thing handy

           and we are progressing very

rapidly in the school of the

soldier. As far as I have been

yet I would not change my

position for that of a civilian.

We have every thing we

want in the shape of amuse-

ments we have a fine gymnasium

      base ball grounds librariesand

we have a big room called the

assembly room where we go to

read, write and rest. We have

          rented a player piano from

a music house it costs us five

cents each per week and we are

allowed to use it whenever we

             want to.

I went up town last night

to look around. There is a

street car runs right up here

every half hour and it is quite

handy. I looked around

f to see if I could find

   Fred Glascer but did

   not see anything of him

of course I may run onto

him any time.

Tell Leslie that I saw

his friend Clifford Kiser

in Boise and went to

the show with him he

sure is a fine fello he

ask me to come and see

him but I did not go as

I was too busy getting

ready to leave.

Well I guess I will close

for this time give my love

to Grandma and my dear

brothers tell them to

write to me as a letter

from home is almost as

good as a visit. Well

good by for this time

from your loving son
