My dear darling mother

   your most welcome

 letter came to hand

yesterday, also your

 money order. I sure was

  pleased to get them

   and the money sure

    comes in handy. I

   got grandmas letter

    today will write to

     her in a few days

      it sure makes me

     feel homesick when

   I get a letter from

some of the folks

altho it seems good to

  hear from you and to

   learn that you miss

  me. I sure miss you all

 and often wish that

I were back home agin

  if it were not for my

   being so homesick at

   times. I would be

   perfectly contented. 

In answer to your

questions I will say. I

 have all clothes I need

I have three changes of

underclothes three pair

of socks two shirts one

O.D. uniform two pair

 of shoes one pair of

 summer pants and a

 hat and one pair of

  leggings so you see I

  am pretty well fixed

   for clothes. My suit and

  mackinaw are in

  Boise we lift all our

 clothes in the state

Capitol building mine

are in a suit case

with a fellow from

St Anthony.

We have to drill

   two hours every day

from nine until ten

and from one until

two. I have not I am

not sure yet whether

I will be able to

get in the band yet

or not but I think

I will.

I had to leave

Spokane but I am

glad they sent me

for I like Sandpoint

 the best

Well I guess this is

all I can think of to

tell you this time so

I will close with love

to all and hoping to

hear from you soon
