My dear darling mother

letter came to hand
yesterday, also your
money order. I sure was
pleased to get them
and the money sure
comes in handy. I
got grandmas letter

her in a few days
it sure makes me
feel homesick when
I get a letter from
some of the folks
altho it seems good to
hear from you and to
learn that you miss
me. I sure miss you all
and often wish that
I were back home agin
if it were not for my
being so homesick at
times. I would be
perfectly contented.
In answer to your
questions I will say. I
have all clothes I need
I have three changes of
underclothes three pair
of socks two shirts one
O.D. uniform two pair
of shoes one pair of
summer pants and a

mackinaw are in
Boise we lift all our
clothes in the state

with a fellow from
St Anthony.
We have to drill
two hours every day

not sure yet whether
I will be able to
get in the band yet
or not but I think
I will.
I had to leave
Spokane but I am
glad they sent me
for I like Sandpoint
the best
Well I guess this is
all I can think of to
tell you this time so
I will close with love
to all and hoping to
hear from you soon

your loving son
